reboot

To enable auto Login again edit /etc/kde4/kdm/kdmrc

Activate third-party repos again, esepically LinuxMCE and make sure “trusty” is set:

deb http://deb.linuxmce.org/ubuntu/ trusty unstable main

Update packages to the most recent version (without “dist-upgrade” packages kept back by apt)

apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade

Make sure having the correct VDR repo for 14.04 in place:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/yavdr/testing-vdr/ubuntu/ trusty main

Update vdr packages to the most recent version (..were missing):

apt-get install pluto-vdr vdr-plugin-xine libextractor3 vdr-plugin-xineliboutput

run AVWizard

And patients, patients, patients, more patients, more more patients…

enable networkin on runlevel 2,3,5
